Players and teams are still waiting for money from FISSURE – payment plan extends to 2027
FISSURE has paid approximately half of its CS2 debt since the summer of 2026, but the remaining portion is awaiting new commercial agreements and a payment round in the first quarter of 2027 – with no specific figures made public.

For the teams and players who have yet to receive their prize money from FISSURE, the situation remains unresolved. The tournament organizer has admittedly paid approximately half of its CS2 debt since the summer of 2026, but the remaining half is tied to a payment plan whose next major round is not scheduled until the first quarter of 2027.
In practice, this means that affected parties – including teams such as FURIA, Falcons, G2, Liquid, Astralis, The MongolZ, Aurora, and Legacy, which previously appeared on a published list of 15 CS2 organizations with outstanding claims – may wait up to a year and a half or more from when the first problems arose before they see full settlement. FISSURE has not disclosed what the total remaining debt amounts to, and director Nikolay Vesnin has explained that he does not wish to release figures based on commercial agreements that are not yet in place.
The next wave of payments is therefore directly dependent on FISSURE successfully entering into new commercial agreements. The organization itself acknowledges that progress so far has not been sufficient. Dota 2 repayments began in October 2026, but here too no concrete figures have been published.
To finance the repayments already made, FISSURE has drawn on revenue from the tournament FISSURE Playground 3, held in Suzhou in September 2026. The organization has also cancelled several tournaments in 2026 and 2027 as part of a financial restructuring, but maintains that it will continue to hold events – precisely because tournament revenue is the primary source for settling the debt.
Vesnin has promised a public status report on the repayments in the first quarter of 2027. Until then, the teams and players lack concrete guarantees as to when and in what amounts the remaining debt will be settled.
