BLAST confirms restructuring and layoffs in Denmark and the United Kingdom
BLAST confirms a limited number of layoffs in Denmark and the United Kingdom as part of a restructuring intended to secure growth in 2027. The company has not responded to allegations of delayed payments.

The Danish tournament organiser BLAST has carried out an internal restructuring that has cost employees their jobs in both Denmark and the United Kingdom. The company confirmed this to the international esports media outlet The Esports Radar.
According to BLAST, the new organisation will "position the business for continued growth in 2027 and beyond". The revised company structure is intended to support global expansion and make it easier to run events across multiple games together with commercial partners. The changes have, according to the company, resulted in "a limited number of redundancies" in the United Kingdom and Denmark. BLAST has not disclosed how many employees are affected.
The confirmation comes after Counter-Strike analyst and commentator Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill spoke about layoffs at the company on HLTV's weekly programme HLTV Confirmed. He also said that BLAST has experienced delays in payments. BLAST has not responded to the allegations of delayed payments to freelancers and employees.
The news stands in contrast to the company's most recent financial figures. According to The Esports Radar, BLAST generated revenue of 133 million dollars in the 2025 financial year. That represents an increase of 40 percent compared to the previous year, and the company turned a profit. BLAST also now has a North American headquarters in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to Counter-Strike, the company runs tournaments in Fortnite, Rocket League Championship Series together with Epic Games, Rainbow Six Siege together with Ubisoft, and Brawl Stars together with Supercell.
