FISSURE Playground 4: Here is how the $1.25 million is distributed across prize money, club bonuses, and VRS payments
FISSURE Playground 4 distributes $1.25 million across three categories: $450,000 in prize money, $550,000 in club bonuses, and $250,000 in VRS participation payments – the latter paid out independently of the final result to the eight highest-ranked invited teams.

FISSURE Playground 4 brings 16 CS2 teams to Georgia from August 18 to 30, 2027 – but the total financial commitment of $1.25 million is not a single prize pool. The amount is split into three clearly distinct categories, and that distinction has a direct impact on teams' incentives to participate.
Note: Dust2.dk lists the start date as August 16, while the primary English-language source puts it at August 18. Esport House goes with August 18, as that is the date stated in the detailed tournament announcement.
The $450,000 in prize money and $550,000 in club bonuses are both results-based and follow the final standings. The winner receives $165,000 in prize money and $135,000 in club bonus – a combined $300,000 from these two pools. Second place yields $75,000 and $85,000 respectively, while teams finishing in 15th–16th place still take home $4,000 and $9,000 respectively.
The remaining $250,000 consists of VRS participation payments, which operate independently of the final result. Only the eight highest-ranked teams that accept an invitation are eligible: the world number one receives $60,000, number two $50,000, numbers three and four $40,000 each, numbers five and six $20,000 each, and numbers seven and eight $10,000 each. These payments are therefore tied to a team's VRS ranking at the time of invitation, not to tournament performance.
The three-part structure means that a top-ranked team can secure a significant payout simply by showing up – regardless of how far it advances. Fifteen teams are invited directly via the global VRS update from July 2027, while the 16th and final spot is decided in a closed qualifier featuring eight European teams, with only the winner advancing to the LAN tournament.
