Playoff tickets on the line: What FUT, T1, LOUD and Global Esports need to advance from the group stage at VALORANT Champions 2026

The decisive day of the group stage at VALORANT Champions 2026 features two best-of-three series that will determine who advances to the playoffs — and who goes home. In Group A, LOUD face Global Esports, while FUT Esports and T1 battle it out for the final spot from Group B. Playoff matches begin on October 7.

LOUD vs. Global Esports – Group A

Both teams have arrived here via very different paths. LOUD defeated EDward Gaming convincingly, but then lost to Vitality in a close series that included a 17–19 defeat on Summit. To advance, LOUD must now win the entire decider series.

Global Esports also lost to Vitality in their opening match, but responded with a dominant 2–0 victory over EDward Gaming, with UdoTan and PatMen particularly standing out. GE are the Pacific Stage 2 champions and enter the match against LOUD as the team in the stronger recent form. According to GE's Platoon at a press conference, the match will be decided by who wants it more in each individual round — and he highlighted that LOUD plays most similarly to the teams GE are used to facing.

FUT Esports vs. T1 – Group B

FUT impressed with a 13–1 victory on Ascent against JD Gaming in the tournament opener, but suffered a clear defeat against 100 Thieves. T1 also lost to 100 Thieves across two maps, but defeated JD Gaming with a decisive 13–5 victory on Haven. Both teams are therefore 1–1 and must win the decider series to reach the playoffs.

The most decisive factor in Group B is that both teams have already shown vulnerability against 100 Thieves, but managed to beat JD Gaming. The match between FUT and T1 is therefore a direct showdown between two teams with identical records — and the winner takes the final playoff spot from the group.
