Team Falcons have become the first team in the world to secure a spot at BLAST R6 Major Osaka. This happened following a 2-0 victory over Geekay Esports in the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs.
The win over Geekay Esports delivered more than just the Osaka ticket. The result means that Team Falcons are guaranteed at least a third-place finish in the playoff tournament, which secures them a place in the Swiss Stage at the Major. In addition, the victory has mathematically confirmed the team's participation at Six Invitational 2027.
In the global standings, Team Falcons have accumulated 1,985 SI Points and sit just behind DarkZero Esports, who occupy third place.
Next week, a match awaits against the winner of the clash between G2 Esports and Virtus.pro for a place in the region's grand final. G2 Esports themselves qualified for Osaka on the same day by defeating Virtus.pro, making them the only other team that has currently secured a spot at the tournament.
BLAST R6 Major Osaka runs from November 6 to 15, with spectators gathering at ATC Hall from November 13 to 15 to follow the matches for a prize pool of $600,000 USD.
