All or nothing: How FiRe Last Chance decides 100 Thieves' path to PGL Major Singapore 2026

100 Thieves find themselves in a situation where almost everything hinges on a single result. The team has secured a spot in the playoffs at FiRe Last Chance 2026 in Argentina after winning Group A without dropping a single map – but it is in the playoffs where it truly matters.

The backdrop is simple and brutal: 15 of the 18 European spots at PGL Major Singapore 2026 have already been allocated. That leaves 100 Thieves with extremely little margin. According to both HLTV and player Finn "Mischief" Farrer, the team has approximately a 75% chance of qualifying for the Major if they win the tournament. Should they finish in second place, however, that probability drops to below 20%. A victory is, in other words, not a guarantee – but anything other than first place makes qualification virtually impossible.

FiRe Last Chance is also 100 Thieves' final tournament before the decisive world ranking update on 2 November, making this event their only real opportunity to influence their ranking position before the deadline.

In the group stage, the team delivered convincing results. Against Arena Pro they won Mirage 13-1 and Dust2 13-2, while the match against Brazilian side Bounty Hunters, ranked 94th globally, required a little more effort – particularly on Ancient, which ended 13-11. Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren was the team's standout player against Bounty Hunters with 95.6 ADR and a rating of 1.41 across the two maps.

The playoffs are played as single elimination with Bo3 matches all the way through from 31 October. Among the opponents the team must watch out for are NRG, Wildcard, ShindeN, Fluxo, and BESTIA. 100 Thieves are the top seed in the tournament, but the pressure is at its maximum: win it all, or go home without a Major ticket.
