BBL stay in upper bracket after 2-0 over EYEBALLERS – ex-RUSTEC awaits on Saturday
BBL defeated EYEBALLERS 2-0 in the closed PGL Bucharest qualifier and thereby remain in the upper bracket. On Saturday, ex-RUSTEC awaits, having themselves advanced with a 2-0 win over GamerLegion.

BBL remain in the upper bracket of the closed qualifier for PGL Bucharest after a 2-0 victory over Swedish side EYEBALLERS on Friday, October 16. The result is worth more than just three points: it keeps the team on the side of the bracket where they avoid early elimination matches and retain the shortest path to one of the two spots at the main tournament.
The road there was not without bumps. On the first map, Anubis, BBL were down 3-9 at the half, but fought back and ultimately won 19-17 in overtime. It took 79 minutes. The second map, Cache, was more controlled – an even first half was followed by BBL pulling away and closing out 13-7 in under 40 minutes. Overall, NickyB was the team's standout player with 58 kills and a rating of 1.74 across both maps.
The victory also breaks a negative streak. BBL's three previous matches all ended in defeats – 2-1 to JiJieHao and 2-1 to Liquid at Stake Pulse Beat III 2026, as well as 2-0 to NIP at ROG Journey Autumn 2026. With an overall record of 15-15 across 30 rated matches, the team is at a point where momentum matters.
For EYEBALLERS, it is their third consecutive defeat. The team, which features experienced names such as KRIMZ and JW, holds a record of 41-38 across 79 rated matches, but has been unable to convert experience into results of late.
Their next opponent is ex-RUSTEC, who themselves advanced to the upper bracket semi-final after a 2-0 win over GamerLegion. The match takes place on Saturday, October 17, with an estimated start time of 19:00. A win would keep BBL in the upper portion of the bracket and bring them one step closer to a spot in Bucharest in January.
