FURIA defends Thunderpick title: Back-to-back victories cement the team as CS2's most consistent
FURIA wins the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 for the second year in a row after a 3-2 final victory over BetBoom, confirming themselves as one of CS2's most consistent organisations in 2025-2026.

FURIA has won the Thunderpick World Championship for the second year in a row, confirming their position as one of the most stable and result-producing organisations in CS2 in 2025-2026.
In the final against BetBoom, it went the full five maps before FURIA could lift the trophy with an overall victory of 3-2 in a best-of-five series. The team fell behind in the series after losses on Ancient and Nuke, but fought back with a close 13-11 victory on Mirage, led by a strong performance from Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato. On the decisive fifth map, Cache, FURIA dominated from the start with an 8-4 T-side and closed out the map 13-6. Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo contributed fourteen kills and a positive round differential of +6.87 percent on the decisive map.
The road to the final went through a semifinal against Aurora, which FURIA won 2-0 on Dust2 and Inferno – exactly as the team one year earlier defeated Aurora 2-0 in the semifinal at the 2025 edition of the tournament, back then on Train and Overpass. Both tournaments have been held in Malta.
The fact that FURIA has now won the Thunderpick World Championship two years in a row with the same starting lineup underscores an organisational stability that is rare in a field where team compositions constantly change. For FalleN, who in April announced his planned retirement at the end of 2026, the title is particularly significant – the team had earlier this year not managed to win an S-tier trophy, including at IEM Cologne 2026 Major.
FURIA already has their sights set forward: the next stop is PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, which begins on October 24.
