FaZe survive double day in lower bracket and advance to lower bracket semifinal

FaZe concluded an intense day at DraculaN Season 7 with two decisive lower bracket victories – first over ENVY and then over HEROIC – keeping their tournament dream alive.

The match against ENVY was anything but easy. On the first map, Ancient, FaZe took a 7-5 lead in the first half, with frozen securing six rounds in a row on the CT side and finishing with an impressive 4.82 rating on that side. Dust2 went to ENVY 13-9, and the third map, Anubis, turned into a nerve-wracking affair. FaZe reached match point at 12-11, but ENVY forced overtime. There, however, FaZe came out on top and won 16-14, sending ENVY out of the tournament.

With no break, HEROIC awaited. FaZe dominated on their own map pick, Mirage, winning 13-8. HEROIC struck back on Ancient with an early 11-5 lead and won the map 13-9, levelling the series at 1-1. The decisive map, Nuke, went to FaZe: 7-5 at halftime and a strong CT side secured a 13-8 victory and an overall 2-1 triumph over HEROIC.

With the two victories, FaZe have now advanced to the lower bracket semifinal, where the team must win three more matches to reach the grand final. Their next opponent will be the loser of the match between BC.Game and Eternal Fire.
