Two days until cup 3: Wanted Goons sign LUKE4k as IGL close to ESL Challenger League Season 52
Wanted Goons announced LUKE4k as their new IGL two days before ESL Challenger League Season 52's third cup on October 7. The narrow margin challenges the team's readiness, as LUKE4k has only played 20 maps in 2026.

Wanted Goons have signed Lucas "LUKE4k" Mizumoto as their new in-game leader – and the signing was announced just two days before ESL Challenger League Season 52's third cup begins on Wednesday, October 7.
The precise timing is central to the team's immediate tournament readiness. Cup 3 will be Wanted Goons' first appearance with a complete five-man roster since Kevin "Magic" Simpson left the squad a month earlier. It will also be LUKE4k's first official match for the team since his stand-in period during the second cup in ESL Challenger League Season 51 in March.
The challenge is not only logistical. LUKE4k has played just 20 maps during 2026, and his most recently registered match on HLTV dates back to March, when he participated in PGL Astana 2026 North America Open Qualifier 2 with a mix team. A spring trip to Japan apparently explains the lengthy break from competitive play.
Adding to this is a parallel commitment: LUKE4k has recently enrolled at Fisher College, where he is also set to play for the university's CS2 team. Since Fisher exclusively participates in collegiate tournaments this semester, it is not expected to create scheduling conflicts with Wanted Goons' participation in ESL's open circuit.
With cup 3 as the immediate test, the question is whether an IGL with very limited playtime in 2026 can take over the leadership role from day one.
