Berlin and Valencia become European VCT hubs in 2027

The European VALORANT scene gets two significant live opportunities in 2027, as VCT makes its way to Berlin and Valencia as part of the largest tournament circuit in the series' history — 15 cities spread across the entire season.

Berlin has been designated as the EMEA region's Kickoff city for the period 14 January to 7 February 2027. This is where it will be decided which open teams can qualify for Masters Seoul, giving European fans the chance to witness the first decisive matches of the new season structure close to home.

The second European destination is Valencia, which as a new VCT host city will house Masters Valencia from 5 to 20 June 2027. It is the first time VCT has visited Valencia specifically, and the tournament serves as the season's second international Masters event, fed by the results from VCT Cup 1.

For European teams, the new tournament model means in concrete terms that access to the big stages is no longer reserved for partner teams alone. After Kickoff, advancement is determined solely by performance, and open teams can work their way up towards both Cups and global events through qualification rounds. Riot Games has announced more than 50 tournaments across the season as well as guaranteed qualification payments to open teams that advance.

The Game Changers final is also being moved to the Champions event, which will be held in Austin, Texas from 16 September to 10 October 2027, giving European Game Changers teams a direct path to the year's biggest stage.

Overall, the placement of Kickoff in Berlin and Masters in Valencia gives European fans two concrete ticketing opportunities in 2027, while the open tournament structure increases the likelihood of new European names making it to these very events.
